Muslim From Cuba

I learned about Islam some time ago through social media. Since I was young, I never liked the idea of worshipping so many saints and virgins. It seemed absurd to me, like a fairy tale. I always believed in one God—the Creator of the heavens, the earth, and everything within them. I explored different religions, but many of them felt fictional, and some appeared to be driven by political motives. Then came a blessed day when I decided to study the Arabic language and joined a group to learn it. There, I met—or rather, exchanged messages with—a girl from Egypt, to whom I owe all the happiness I live today. Through her, I embraced Islam. I recited the written declaration of faith to her and sent it as a voice message. Since that moment, I have become a happy servant of the Lord of the Worlds. My life has become easier in every way—because I now have more patience, more love in my heart, and many brothers and sisters: all the Muslims around the world. I enjoy speaking to my Almighty Lord, Allah, five times a day. I owe my mental and physical well‑being, my peace, and my tranquility to Islam, and I am truly grateful to be a Muslim.
